Thornycroft Lodge is nestled in the heart of Horseshoe Valley, on a large country estate resting on the banks of the Nahoon River. The surrounding hills and lush landscape cocoon you in a bubble of tranquility, separating you from the city of East London, which is only a 10 minute drive away.
An ‘outdoor living’ approach, coupled with uncomplicated designs and natural tones,
creates a relaxed atmosphere where you can really put your feet up, taking in the
sounds of the valley.
Our spacious guest suites make maximum use of natural light, with large sliding doors
opening onto the gardens. Each suite features a queen size bed, safe and clock radio,
a separate living area with home entertainment system (TV / DVD / Surround Sound),

There is also a camp with 4 dorms each accommodating 20 people. This camp is designed
for use by school groups, church groups, sports groups etc. and is situated close
to the Lodge, in the middle of nature.
We are close to Hemingways Casino, East Coast
Resorts and the Wild Coast with it’s beautiful beaches. Our travel desk offers advice
on day trips and things to see and do in the East London area.
